I'm administering a SLES9 system. Daily, I receive an automated mail message similar to the following: OLD: /var/lib/secchk/security-report-daily 2005-06-12 00:00:02.528087228 -0400 NEW: /var/lib/secchk/security-report-daily.new 2005-06-13 00:00:02.220556009 -0400 * Changes (+: new entries, -: removed entries): + ypbind root UDP *:755 - ypbind root UDP *:986 This tells me that ypbind changed it's UDP listening socket, but I'm wondering two things: (1) What process or procedure performs the change? The ypbind process is not restarted (2) Why is it done? Thanks
