[opensuse] KDE4 screen saver doesn't start
Hello: This is on openSUSE 13.1 with its default KDE4 desktop. I have a graphical program that must be running continuously. It has a window which can be maximized or minimized to the panel. When this program is running KDE4 doesn't start the screen saver. If the program isn't running the screen saver works normally. What can be the cause that prevents the activation of the screen saver? Is there an option in KDE4 to change this? Thanks, Istvan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

It's a Hungarian proprietary inventory management program. Istvan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

you might try to use xset. I use: xset +dpms xset dpms 300 400 500 xset s on I also set a keystroke combination to: sleep 1;xset dpms force off which blanks my screen after a 1 second delay, necessary to let system settle or screen will come right back on. And I did use xset the same way before plasma ps: please line wrap to <78 chars -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
