getting a banned message back (amavisd-new)
Somebody know how I can get back a banned mail? It is banned because of a double extension (.tar.gz), but i do want this file. -- L. de Braal BraHa Systems NL - Terneuzen T +31 115 649333 F +31 115 649444

It depends on the settings of the amavis-new server. You have to ask the administrator, what he configured banned emails to go to. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFDNazytTMYHG2NR9URAoiNAJ9UnBf1PvOib/sKmEp6dcJjSAAzJgCeNNWB bpUrSa84qUF2neHfeZ6CNL0= =DlJO -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Settings were default, and I am the administrator. My problem is solved now (mime parser), but that still leaves the question, how to deliver a banned message.

Found them, and used mime-parser to get the file I wanted.

You better check mail check rules for moronic properties before using them. Look in the quarantine directory that amavisd-new uses, if any. The quarantined mails are gzipped. Theo -- Theo v. Sure I have checked them now, but these were default settings. Thought to find an easy way to deliver banned messages. In the mean time I have found and used a mimeparser on the mail-file.
