I need to mount certain devices. E.g /dev/hda1 and /dev/hda2 automatically on startup. Where do I set these mount points in which file? Can an smbfs file system also be auto mounted at startup? Thanks Ray Booysen

put the entries in /etc/fstab for what you want to mount on startup yes, samba shares can be automatically mounted at boot. i dont use /etc/fstab to do that though, i write a separate script and put it at the end of the boot process so networking and samba and all that is sure to be working first.
