Setup the pcmcia-wlan interface in yast, details to be entered regarding the network your connecting to can be found under Hardware Settings -> Wireless Setup or somesuch, in here enter the name of your network, any password and so on.

Thanks for the instructions, but there's one glaring problem that I have in that I don't have a wireless setup option in YaST at all...anywhere. Somehow it didn't get installed when I installed SuSE 9.0. Is there a way to get this installed? Thanks Jack
