[opensuse] Problem with SeaMonkey and a site...
Hello,
My son is a Harry Potter(HP) and a site is giving him problems. There are
two problems The site has a popup that get's bye the blocker and it hangs
SeaMonkey. I wonder if someone could check the site and see if you have
the same problem with the latest SuSE version of SeaMonkey? If I click on
anything in the site Seamonkey locks up hard. http://www.mugglenet.com/
It is OK till you click on any link in the whole site. You can choose
open in a new window the link and you get the link, but if you try to go
back or do not open a new window with the link it hangs SeaMonkey.
The site owners seem to think it is a SeaMonkey bug and will do nothing to
fix the problem. I want to make sure it is not just my systems. I have
Mplayer as a plugin.
Where should this be reported?
Thanks,

Seems to work for me with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.8.1.1pre) Gecko/20061122 SUSE/1.0.99-38.1 SeaMonkey/1.1b This one runs on SUSE Linux 10.1 though.

Hard to say. Please define "the latest SuSE version of SeaMonkey". Which version on which distribution? Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Flame 'em! :) That site is horrific. I'm not sure what you meant by your son is a "Harry Potter(HP)" but that seems irrelevant. This site should be taken down. I've seen better ones done with Front Page. On my system (SUSE 10.1) using Konqueror, the site causes an application error and Konqueror crashes. Firefox does better but gets a ton of popups. Also, I'm getting a notificaitons of scripts not allowed. Opera handled the site well and didn't show any popups. -- kai www.perfectreign.com || www.4thedadz.com a turn signal is a statement, not a request -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Firefox 2.0.52-1 from the latest opensuse mozilla builds works alright, all popups get blocked but the links to the video will not play any of them even though I have mplayer and win32 codecs installed. I do not see the pop-up, but I thought it maybe what was hanging
SeaMonkey. Because when I looked at the site with lynx and looked at
the source I saw a pop-up that would play. I then tried Opera the pop-up
starts and plays a commercial and then jumps to another commercial that
plays but I do not get any sound. If I then save the wmv file I am able
to bring up MPlayer and play the wmv file with sound. It is really
strange.
I agree that this site is really bad. My son is a Fan of Harry Potter and
this is one of two of his favorite sites.
