I use the trackman marble (without the wheel) and have been for some time, configure it as a MS compatible mouse and you won't have any problems. -- S.Toms - tomas@primenet.com - www.primenet.com/~tomas SuSE Linux v6.3+ - Kernel 2.2.14
Thanks. I'll try it right now. -- Tim RRMC -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

I use it with 6.2 as a normal 3 button mouse. The scrolling function or special menu's are not supported in X. You still have the benefits of it's ergonomical design though. I've got it working. Thanks to all. I set it up with 4 buttons hoping that imwheel can be mapped to use the fourth button to lock the ball for scrolling. I look at imwheelrc and it all looks Greek to me, so if any has suggestions...? -- Tim RRMC -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Well, this is exactly where I failed, too. I searched the web as well, but it seems like this has not been solved properly so far. :( Bye, LenZ -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Lenz Grimmer SuSE GmbH mailto:grimmer@suse.de Schanzaeckerstr. 10 http://www.suse.de/~grimmer 90443 Nuernberg, Germany -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Install imwheel and you will get access to the wheel on your mouse, works like a charm on my other system. S. Toms, The device in question does not have a wheel. The way it works in windows, the fourth button toggles the ball to act as the scrolling device in place of the wheel. -- Tim RRMC -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Exactly. If anyone ever figures out, how to get this functionality, give me a ring. I miss it badly :) Bye, LenZ -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Lenz Grimmer SuSE GmbH mailto:grimmer@suse.de Schanzaeckerstr. 10 http://www.suse.de/~grimmer 90443 Nuernberg, Germany -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

It's working fine here as a regular PS/2 mouse, too.
