Hi, people. I'm almost sure I saw this explained on this list already, but seeking in my archives, am just unable to find it. Sigh! :-( Would a kind soul tell me how to interpret, and possibly repair, the: warning: can't rmdir /usr/lib/python -- skipping symlink that sometimes pops up in red, while Yast1 is installing packages? -- François Pinard http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~pinard -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Yeah, I ran into this too. Because the pdflib RPM installs before the python RPM, you get this little buglet. You have to manually fix this. Go into your /usr/lib/python directory. You'll see one file there. Move it to your /usr/lib/python1.5 directory. Now do the following: rmdir /usr/lib/python ln -s /usr/lib/python1.5 /usr/lib/python and you'll be all set.
