Try using the new Remote Desktop Connection, this supports both VNC and Rdesktop protocols.
Ok, thanks, but how exactly do I do that? I found out the RDP port (3389), and entered in the Remote Desktop Connection dialog 192.168.1.59:3389 It says "Authenticating..." for a long time, then "server does not accept new connections". Actually, the server accepts connections. Also, tried username:password@192.168.1.59:3389 The documentation for krfb does not exist at all.

That's bad syntax. You shouldn't have the port number there, you should have the display number. For VNC connections, this would be something like 192.168.1.59:0, I don't know what the syntax is the RDP (and I don't have a windows machine here so I can't check), but it shouldn't be the port number. Did you try just the IP?

Ok.

Me neither, and it seems it's hard to find out :-)

The [Connect] button is grayed out if one enters only an IP. It has to be a :number, then you can click [Connect]. I'll look on the appropriate list for krfb, and post the answer here. -- Linux/Unix Systems Engineer Genesys [ http://www.genesys.ro ] Mobile +40723-267961
