I have SuSE 8.1 and a Sony Clie N610C with PalmOS 4.0 on /dev/usb/ttyUSB1 It was syncing OK this AM. I uninstalled gnome pilot to try jpilot, it didn't work and then I I uninstalled JPilot and reinstalled gnome-pilot (Ximian version). Now I cannot sync my Clie using gnomepilot. I have visor module installed (although lsmod does not show anybody using it), gpilotd running, pilot-xfer backs up my Clie, usbview shows my palm... I just do not understand why gnome-pilot does no sync now? Any ideas

Were you using ximian version of gnome-pilot before? I could never get my sony clie (s320-usb) to work with the ximian version of gnome-pilot. Only the normal gnome-pilot. As long as the pilot-link works, as you stated, it is a gnome-pilot issue. Jpilot and gnome-pilot have issues co-existing. Is jpilot completely removed? If not, uninstall both jpilot and gnome-pilot and reinstall just gnome-pilot. BTW, I have settled down to use jpilot-0.99.3 and pilot-link-0.11.5, and I sync without problems. I had to remove gnome-pilot to get jpilot to work, but pilot-xfer backs up either way, or with both installed. Hope that helps some. -jeric -- JericAtSbcglobalDotNetwork 11:23pm up 15 days, 9 min, 11 users, load average: 0.16, 0.04, 0.01
