Hi, This subject was covered not so long ago in this list. Power off does work, provided that: 1) the kernel is compiled with "Advanced Power Management BIOS support" and "Power off on shutdown" enabled in the "General setup" menu. 2) the power off command is changed from "halt" to "halt -p" in the shutdown script /sbin/init.d/halt: command="halt" -> command="halt -p" i.e. no patches required ;-).
