I am prepared to do a fresh install with ext3 file system, same partition configuration (swap;/;/home)... how do I treat bad blocks then on my / partition?
Once the partitions are setup and formatted to ext3, boot from a rescue disc and use the command: e2fsck -c -f <device>
What about swap partition, with which tools I manage bad blocks on my swap file system/partition?
Delete the partition, recreating it and run: mkswap -c <device> Charles -- lp1 on fire (One of the more obfuscated kernel messages)
