Hi People, I am new to this very impressive and helpful list. I have a Yast related problem. I own Suse 8.0 and last night I was using online update but lost internet connection. But the update module didnt stop, even though I clicked "back" and "abort" keys, so I killed it(probabaly a few times). Now it doesnt start. I reinstalled this module from CD but nothing. It initiliazez and then disappears. There seems to be something wrong with the "/etc/suservers" file but I couldnt spot it... any ideas? cheers -- Baris Erbas

Hi Baris, Go to http://www.suse.de/en/private/download/updates/80_i386.html and download the latest patches from there, and install via rpm -Uvh. This will -manually- update your system, the way YOU would have done automatically. Then try a reboot and check what happens. Not sure if this helps, but surely worth a try:-) Cheers ....
