How too skip a step in during starting up.
Dear my friends, Now I find it takes too long time for my SuSEfirewall2 to starting up. Especially in this process : " Starting Firewall Initialization (phase 2 of 3) " This step takes 20 minute only too startup. Unbelievable....!!!! My question is : "Is it possible to skipped this process so we don't need to wait for such along time." I mean to bypass in MS Windows, we can use F8 to bypass one or some process in starting (booting) process of our OS. TAC. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Hi Prabu, Something's badly wrong, then - I use various elderly, slow machines, but it still only takes a second or two to load SuSEfirewall2. I think you'd be better off trying to locate the reason for this delay rather than trying to skip it. If you do want to remove it from the picture, Iooking at man insserv you should have a neat way of doing this using insserv -r. Best Fergus
