The notebook computer I use is capable of DMA when Windoze is installed but I get an error when I attempt to enable it w/SuSE v8.2 Personal. What is the output of hdparm -d1 <device>? For example: hdparm -d1 /dev/hda Charles -- Sigh. I like to think it's just the Linux people who want to be on the "leading edge" so bad they walk right off the precipice. (Craig E. Groeschel)
