installing onto an nfsroot system
Hey, all -- I'm driving myself around a bend trying to get SUSE 10.1 to install on a system with an NFS root. Does anyone have experience trying to do this, who might have some tips/tricks/howtos/etc to share? Right now, all I'm trying to do is boot off of the DVD, and install to an nfsroot system...shouldn't be anything fancy, I don't think, and yet... Thanks! - Ian

Hi Ian, I don't think I've installed directly onto an NFS root filesystem; I've almost certainly installed to a normal disk, then copied that to my NFS-server, then changed the system to boot with an NFS root. /Per Jessen, Zürich
