Anybody tried to install the drivers included in the Proliant Support Pack for SLES9?, installed some fancy things (like the storage configuration tool), but couldn't make work the important things like the SmartArray driver. The server is running about 2 months already, but i'm trying to install the PSP because of two problems i've found: Yesterday tried to attach an old DLT IV drive to it and it wasn't detected. Sometimes when moving ~20GB of data from one filesystem to another it seems to freeze for some seconds. All the filesystems are on a hardware RAID5 (SmartArray) Are any difference between the SmartArray module supplied with SuSE Pro 9.2 and the one from the Proliant Support Pack?? Thanks in advance Ciro

Can't help with your main question, but on the tape drive recognition, is it being seen at all? ie. If you look in /var/log/boot.msg, is there a message about its SCSI discovery? If there is, but /dev/st0 is not working, you need to invoke stinit. I've forgotten the details, but I've talked about this before in this list, so search the archives. Greg -- Greg Freemyer

Have you been able to get this to work yet? I have a Proliant 320 G2 I'd like to install 9.2 on, instead of SLES9.

SmartArray here too. TIA Chris

This problem seems to be a Reiserfs issue, as stated in a post i've found somewhere, not sure, didn't try the smartarray module from the PSP
SmartArray here too.
TIA
