[opensuse] HSDPA modems & openSUSE 11.2
Hi, anybody has experience using Huawei modems with KNetworkManager on openSUSE 11.2?, i'm having issues described in a closed-as-fixed bug report but I see the same behavior with the latest patches applied. Error: "NetworkManager: real_connection_secrets_updated: assertion 'caller == SECRETS_CALLER_GSM' failed" This worked in openSUSE 11.0 and KDE3. Regards,
In openSUSE 11.2 I have been able to use my 3G modem only with wvdial, after changing /etc/resolv.conf by adding Google DNS. These are the two lines that have been added: nameserver 8.8.8.8 nameserver 8.8.4.4 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Yep, i'm working meanwhile with kinternet, also editing resolv.conf by hand. There's another bug report for that behavior. I can use that workaround. Real end users won't.... The weird thing is that the bug report is marked as FIXED.
