[opensuse] Thunderbird 3.x and lightning
Is there a time frame for having lightning available for thunderbird 3.x on 11.2? (32 and 64 bit) Thanks for all the hard work and oh, by the way KDE is looking better and better. -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It won't be in 11.2 officially at any time I think. For the moment we need to settle the outstanding issues of TB3, then enigmail and afterwards lightning. So "my" timeframe as I haven't seen anyone else to step up if a cautious "probably this year". I found this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/4623 they stress quite strongly use at your own risk. I never heard of lightning til now but the addon isn't compatible with my TB. Something about gcc3 so I'm not sure how the nightly build tool works. Just throwing it out there. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I'm finding that the releases out there are _not_ for the 3.x version. I'm going to look at the version that Emmanuel sent to me and see if it fits the bill. Most will only work certain 2.x versions. Even the 2.x version in the update repo that has a security fix doesn't have a ver of Lightning for it keeping me from upgrading to it. I'll report back if I have positive results and what I did to get it to work if anything at all. -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I have installed 2 versions of 11.2 so far (32 and 64 bit), and have got lightning working on both, albeit with a bit of a struggle... Will try and find links to the xpi's, or can I upload attachments to the list?? The version that Emmanuel sent to the list works. If he can tell us what he did/changed it would be helpful. -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Along the same lines, is there a version of "Provider for Google Calendar" that works with TB 3.0? Thanks, -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
