Because 7.0 has been released in Europe there are some updated packages for 7.0 such as glibc and sendmail. You can find these on the ftp site. I have recommended that people download these now in prep for when they recieve 7.0 so they can just put them in after the upgrade. Your mileage may vary..do what you like :) * Thomas, Gregory (NBC, KNBC) (gregory.thomas@nbc.com) [000911 21:23]: --> --> -->-----Original Message----- -->From: Linux News User [mailto:linux@ods.co.cr] -->Sent: Monday, September 11, 2000 2:10 PM -->To: Ben Rosenberg; suse-linux-e@suse.com -->Subject: Re: [SLE] Upgrade --> --> -->but... what is that UPGRADE !! --> -->I already download them, but are just a few files... --> -->that isn't a full upgrade ! --> -->===================================================== --> -->What did you download? As of 9/7/00 I counted 27 updated packages for 7.0 on SuSE site, 14 of them marked as recommended update. Is that ``few''? For comparison, updates for 6.4 exceed 600 Mb. Yet another CD. -Kastus

So if we didn't update we would get bitched at? One also has to remember that 6.4 was released in the U.S. April 11th .. so from then until now .. *shrug* :/ Think about how big Glibc was to download..and I am pretty sure people would have wanted that update..and that little hole in Netscape that caused a several meg download..... *shrug* We try ;) --> -->As of 9/7/00 I counted 27 updated packages for 7.0 on SuSE site, 14 of -->them marked as recommended update.
