Hi Everybody! What's the simplest, most trouble-free way to switch from one mouse type to another? Say, from a PS/2 3-button mouse to a PS/2 Wheel mouse. I'm asuming that I should start in run level 3 and run sax from the console. Is this right? Is there a better way? -- JAY VOLLMER JVOLLMER@VISI.COM TEXT REFS DOUBLEPLUSUNGOOD SELFTHINK VERGING CRIMETHINK IGNORE FULLWISE

-- Jay, I dont know if it is the simplest or most trouble free, but I simply shut down linux, changed the mouse/trackball and restarted it all. When it asked what kind of mouse I had installed I selected the trackman I had just installed and kept going. No problem, no hassle. I let SuSE do all the worry. Richard

Use YaST2, Hardware, Select mouse model... and test each mouse that you pick until one works. On Sat, 2003-02-15 at 01:12, Richard Atcheson wrote:
