Anyone manage to get a HP 932C printer working under linux? So far I've tried a 550 and a 890 but havn't gotten anything to output so I don't even know if it's simply a configuration problem or if I have the wrong driver selected. -- S.Toms - tomas@primenet.com - www.primenet.com/~tomas SuSE Linux v6.3+ - Kernel 2.2.14 -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Have you placed the hosts allowed to use the /etc/hosts.lpd ? Anyone know what all those ipv6 entries are in /etc/hosts? and what they are supposed to do. Is this a back door for something? I do not think I like it. Thanks. Graham Smith wrote:

Yes, you need them if you wish to use IPv6 or, for example the IPv6 localhost entry, for our already IPv6 enabled programs to avoid DNS lookups.
they are supposed to do. Is this a back door for something? I do not
No back door, only necessary for IPv6.
think I like it.
