Thanks! I'll take a look when I get to work tomorrow. It really shouldn't be this hard....:) Mike ----------------------------------------------------- Cleary_Mike@emc.com ----------------------------------------------------- Yesterday it worked. Today it is not working. Windows is like that. -----Original Message----- From: Pagan [mailto:ambrosius@mailandnews.com] Sent: Sunday, April 06, 2003 6:26 PM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: Re: [SLE] netscape & konqueror, and plugins -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Well I had the same troubles... when ya updated to Netscape 7.0x they no longer supply the jre plugin. visit Sun's java site to downloa dn install it... A word to you regarding the installation of the plugin for Netscape. In the destination directory jre2-1.4.1_02 or similiar is a controlpanel executable there are commandline options to install the plugin in Netscape... I forget them offhand but I found the info on Sun's java site... Pagan On Thursday 03 April 2003 14:18, Cleary_Mike@emc.com wrote:
At work we have a web-based application (the GUI is a java applet) that I have never been able to open it in Konqueror because it is "unable to open the netscape plugin...". I have configured konq to find the paths to the plugins, but it still gives the same error.
I used to be able to open it in Netscape. But after I updated to 7.02, I could no longer open the app in Netscape either. It keeps telling me I need to download the JRE and install the java plugin. Which I already had of course.
How do I get Netscape to recognize the java plugin again? Or, how do I get Konqueror to work with the netscape plugin?
TIA,
