[opensuse] Sound gone, almost
My openSUSE 11.1 (KDE) has lost the ability play sounds. Mp3's and wav's don't work in VLC, MPlayer, Amarok 2 or Songbird. Strangely, playing the test sound in the Yast Sound card configurator works fine. I've tried "rcalsasound restart", but it didn't help. I also tried toggling on and off the "Enable PulseAudio Support" in sound card settings, but it made no difference. I don't know where to look next. /Jan K. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Even in linux its the fix of last resort. Out of curiosity, did you try to log out and back in. I'm runnng kde 4 and I have to do that occasionally.
