Hello SuSE folkz, Could somebody tell me please how to safely umount locally mounted NFS share when remote NFS server is down? Rebooting local machine is not an option in my case. Thank you in advance. Alex

If it's mounted with hard there's nothing you can do until the server comes back except for reboot. If it's mounted soft it will timeout after timeo seconds. Choose your poison. -- -ckm
