DRI on ATI Mach64 chip: Where's the kernel module mach64.ko?
I've been chasing the holy grail of enabling hw 3D support on my 5-year-old laptop which has a lowly "Rage Mobility P/M AGP 2x rev 100". Interestingly, in 9.2, there was a kernel drm module for it (/lib/modules/*/kernel/drivers/char/drm/mach64.ko) but no X server module. In 10.1, the opposite is true, the X server module is there (/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/mach64_dri.so) but the kernel module isn't! I've searched high and low for the elusive kernel driver in question without success. Looking at 9.2, the source RPM for the kernel module was km_drm and it seems the ultimate source for the kernel drm modules was the Xorg source tree. However, the source for this particular kernel driver seems to have disappeared from the Xorg sources and is not in the kernel sources either! Anyone have any idea where I can find the drm/mach64.ko kernel module or sources for building such for SL-10.1? Thanks!
