I don't know if tisp problem was already solved, so here is my problem. I have an ati X1600 XT (the monitor is a samsung lcd 1280x1024@75). At installation the card was not recognized, but after a little investigation i found that ith vga=794 i can run at 1280x1024, but only with fbdev and hardware overlay does not work, so TvTime doesn't work too and kaffeine is extreeemly slow. I have tried to install the ati drivers (8.25.8-1 for i386) but i get errors when i try to run # sax2 -r -m 0=fglrx (vga=795 does not work too) ###################################################################### last lines of Sax.log when i try it at init 3: (II) fglrx(0): End of Display1 EDID data -------------------- (WW) fglrx(0): Specified desktop setup not supported: 8 *** If unresolved symbols were reported above, they might not *** be the reason for the server aborting. I have tried this too, but it doesn't work. I forgot to mention that i use 10.1. It says: "SaX: startup", but nothing happens. In the documentation they say that for suse 10.1 the profile is not required i commented this lines: #ServerLayout -> all -> Screen -> 0 -> top = #ServerLayout -> all -> Screen -> 0 -> bottom = #ServerLayout -> all -> Screen -> 0 -> left = #ServerLayout -> all -> Screen -> 0 -> right = Masaru Nomiya schrieb:
