[SLE] USB Logitech Optical Wheel Mouse
Alright I bought the USB Logitech Optical Wheel Mouse after your recommendations and YAST found it promptly on boot. Now when I started X the mouse would not move. What should my XF86Config file look like for this particular mouse? Also is gpm used by default in 8.1? Continuing mouse woes... Paul

I believe there is a FAQ on this, but you should also have something like: Section "InputDevice" Driver "mouse" Identifier "Mouse[1]" Option "Device" "/dev/mouse" (May differ for yours) Option "Emulate3Buttons" "off" Option "ButtonNumber" "5" Option "Protocol" "imps/2" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection ----- Doug

In yast2 make sure you choose "intelli/wheel mouse (USB)" and not one of the "logitech" mice. Make sure you test it before leaving :^) If you use KDE you can hit ctrl+F1 to open the menu to navigate w/o the mouse. Yes, gpm is installed by default, but does not automatically turn on during boot. You will need to modify this via the runlevel editor in yast2 or manually add it to rcX.d -- JericAtSbcglobalDotNetwork 11:45pm up 3 days, 8:24, 7 users, load average: 0.38, 0.34, 0.30
