Re: Samsung ML-2251NP Reboots Suse 9.2 SOLVED
Just hooked up a Samsung ML-2251NP via USB to my desktop running Suse 9.2 and every time I send a print job it causes the computer to reboot. What setting might cause this, please?
It wasn't the USB line but the AC line. Moved the printer off the APC UPS-Surge Protector to a separate circuit and problem solved. I guess the laser printer pulls too much juice when it fires up to print! dmc -- ___________________________________________________________ Sign-up for Ads Free at Mail.com http://promo.mail.com/adsfreejump.htm

Must have been the one setting between the chair and PC.

Unless you buy a 2.5kva or larger UPS never plug a laser printer into it. You can plug it into the surge-only side but never the battery side as you have found out. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners." -Ernst Jan Plugge
