[opensuse] audacity doesn't accept input from numeric keyboard
Hello: This is in openSUSE 13.1 (with KDE3) and audacity-2.1.1. When I try to amplify a track's volume using menu "Effect/Amplify", the Amplify input window doesn't accept input from the keyboard's numeric pad part. Numbers entered in the "keyboard" part (in the top row) are accepted. Why is this and how can I change this behavior? Is the numeric keyboard in numeric mode or function mode (i.e. up/down arrow etc)? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I'm not sure I understand correctly what you mean. The arrow buttons, the "home,end,..." buttons and the numeric keyboard are in 3 separate blocks. (A 104-button keyboard) Irrelevant from whether the numeric keyboard is switched on or off (the num-lock led does or doesn't light), pressing a number in the numeric keyboard causes beeping instead of character input. I assume your number lock led is illuminated. Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
