[opensuse] kde4 openoffice drag and drop
In xfce4 I can drag and drop a .jpg from anywhere onto an openoffice document. In kde4 I can't. I have to use the Insert>Picture>from file dialogue which is a pain. Can anyone help? lynn, I do not have that problem. 1. open openoffice 2. open dolphin 3. d-n-d a jpg from dolphin Can you do it? On the other hand I you drop an image on the 'desktop' , then you will not be able to d-n-d this icon to OO except if you are in folder view. -=terry=- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hi and thanks for replying. Yes. Dolphin drops OK but nothing else does, not folder views either. I'm in the habit of using folder views and have just about stopped using file managers altogether. I want to drop from folder views to openoffice. Any ideas? L -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Your post made me check few drag'n'drop options. I copied image from the: 1- Konqueror to the Folderview, 2- Folderview to OpenOffice Writer. 3- Konqueror to the OpenOffice Writer 4- Firefox to the Folderview 5- Firefox to the OpenOffice Writer For Konqueror I used desktop in Folderview For Firefox I opened new one for directory with test images 1- copies image 2- copies image 3- copies image 4- copies image 5- copies image URL (as a text) I use KDE4 4.2 from repository: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Desktop/openSU... Note that this is offical KDE4 4.2 (stable) release. There is chance that it will be moved to something like: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/KDE42/Desktop/openSUSE_... once openSUSE Factory start building KDE 4.3 development version, but it is only mentioned on the list. Nothing offical yet. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
