Dual Boot Win XP - Suse 73
Hello, I would like to ask you the following question: I had previously on my system Win Me and Suse 73. I installed without any problem Suse 73 and I dual booted very well. After some time I upgraded Win Me to Win XP Professional and after that I upgraded also the C: drive to NTFS. Due to last install of XP I lost the ability to dual boot. It is a way of recovering my dual boot feature without losing or damaging C: drive and of course the data from XP ? I searched Suse database for an article but the solution refers to Suse 80 with XP. It is this solution applicable to Suse 73 also ? I will greatly aprreciate your feedback. Best regards, Alex --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? New DSL Internet Access from SBC & Yahoo!
Yes it is applicable.
I really suggest you backup everything you need from XP and Linux, and start
al over again.
that way you will garantee you have a good installation of XP and Linux.

Woooe, there horsie, I may be mistaken but if you installed/upgraded XP after what may have Happened is the MBR was re written by windows, which it typically does ever since win 95. What I would suggest is making a linux boot disk then booting mounting your Suse partition then running Lilo this should recreate your MBR.
