question about partition
a newbee question, I would like to install suse and windows2k on my laptop with a 40G harddisk. I want to give suse 8G~10G, 4G to win2k. question is how to make the partition? I plan to give 15G for C: where I install win2k first and then suse. 10G for D: win2k software. 5G for E: win2k documents. is this alright? is 10G enough for suse?

You should split 10GB into (a) root partition, (b) /home partition and (c) swap partition. In this case I would recommend to consider to "merge" C: and D: partitions into one smaller 20GB partition and use saved 5GB as /home partition. -- Marek Chlopek
