Re: [S.u.S.E. Linux] Java crashes Netscape
I seem to have similar problem. In my case, MWM (Motif Window Manager) just stop functioning with its menu and any other mouse button operation except raising other windows into focus. Regards, C. J. Tan On Thu, 2 Jul 1998, Mike Hostetler wrote:
Hello,
I am running SuSE 5.2 with standard kernel 2.0.34. I compiled in Java binary support in the kernel as a module.
And, yes, the subject is true - if I have Java enabled and go to a page that has Java, it crashes. If I disable Java in the browser, it works fine. I tried Communicator 4.04 (which comes with SuSE 5.2) and then upgraded to Communicator 4.05, both with the same results. I thought about getting rid of Java-binary support and see if that will help but I hadn't heard about it interfering with netscape anywhere else.
Has anyone else seen this? does anyone have any ideas? You help/advice is appreciated . . .
