Hi everyone- I finally got 7.1 installed and running- its great- the only problem I had was trying to figure whick button the push to get the DSL connected to the net. I can say as a newbie and almost former WinDoze user (if anyone can tell me how to get a spellcheck session in a Newsgroup for my ioline class M$$ is toast) I have never seen an easier install. Last task is the find packages for my handspring Visor (USB) and Scanner (par-port). Sound is great and YAST2 rocks. Well, I can tell you that JPilot rocks...but for the USB stuff you are going to have to do one of two things. A. Use the 2.4.X kernel or B. Get a serial synch (which is what I did, I have 2..one for work and one for home.) I gave the USB synch to my wife so she would have an extra one..she uses Mac's at home/work, so USB isn't as much of an issue for her. I am not sure about scanners..as I don't own one...sorry. * Darrell Nobles (speaker_2@hotmail.com) [010324 18:18]: => =>Last task is the find packages for my handspring Visor (USB) and Scanner =>(par-port). => -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org ----- If two men agree on everything, you can be sure that only one of them is doing the thinking.
