Modify lilo.conf and then run lilo... Here's mine, which (by coincidence?) does exactly what you are asking for help on. # Start LILO global Section password=NoneOfYourBusiness restricted boot=/dev/hda #boot=/dev/fd0 #compact # faster, but won't work on all systems. vga = normal # force sane state read-only prompt timeout=40 message=/etc/lilo.message # End LILO global Section # # image=/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda9 label=L # image=/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda9 append=" 2" label=T # other = /dev/hda1 label = 9 table = /dev/hda And since I mentioned /etc/lilo.message, here it is too. Note that if you change the message file, you have to rerun lilo - just like lilo.conf. Boot Options: L - Default - SuSE Linux 6.3 Standard Kernel, Graphic Shell Suboptions require password: L S - Administrative L 1 - no network, no graphics T - SuSE Linux 6.3 Standard Kernel, Text Shell 9 - Windows 95 -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
