Hi, I just dld (thanks) the latest abiword -- and installation failed -- it seems the package is looking for /etc/opt/gnome/.gconf I have /etc/opt/gnome/gconf Is this because I am still running a pretty stock SuSE 8 and gnome things have changed since then or is this a package issue ( excuse my ignorance ) Regards Francesco

Ummm, the package is built for 8.1, so you'd prbably have problems anyway (GCC versions and all that...) However, there do seem to be problems with that package, my bad, I rushed it out, cos it was already about a week late, and because I use the 1.1 tree for my day-to-day usage, didn't check it properly, I'm currently investigating... I'm just about to put a note on the site saying not to download it. -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.1) GNOME updates for SuSE: http://www.usr-local-bin.org
