As a relative newbie still getting SuSE 5.3 up and running to my satisfaction, do you think there are any compelling reasons to upgrade to 6.0? I don't think I need the new features, at least not yet, and I feel like I should get more familiar with the current version, and linux in general, before I move on. Any comments from the "oldie's" out there?
Based on my experience with Red Hat, I would wait one rev, say 6.1, so the glibc migration problems are mostly resolved. Maybe SuSE is learning from Red Hat's mistakes, and is managing the situation appropriately. The really nice thing about Free Source is that SuSE can learn _everything_ about Red Hat's mistakes and "adapt, adopt, and improve" the corrections to their own needs :-) - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
