Hey Group:
First time using this list server.
I have had problems getting Netcscape/Communicator 4.04PE to find the pppd. It appears that pppd is running as called up by ezppp. ezppp seems to connect, login and startup ppp. At that point trying Netscape gets a URL or DNS not found type of error.
This sounds like you don't have ezppp setup properly or that you are not pointing at your ISP's DNS server. What does /etc/resolv.vonf look like? You can set that up using yast. Either way it appears that you are not pointing to the DNS server. This is a seperate issue from Netscape installation.
Sorry for the typo in my original post. I meant to ask what does /etc/resolv.conf look like. Frank
The URL <A HREF="http://members.ping.at/theofilu/netscape.html"><A HREF="http://members.ping.at/theofilu/netscape.html</A">http://members.ping.at/theofilu/netscape.html</A</A>> has info on installing Netscape. It addresses some specific installation and lib issues.
Hope that this clearifies cheers, Frank
So I tried Frank Pawlaks suggested URL "www.members.ping.at on a NON-Linux machine running Netscape and either I typed it wrong or it was not found. Based on his email it appears that that site may have some information on the problem I and several other Austin, TX SuSE 5.1 users are having.
