Using apt, I've just upgraded most of my Gnome packages to usr-local-bin, and now when I try to access the main Gnome menu, its just blank. The entries are all there, I just can't see them. Any solution? Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't see any reference to it in the archives. David

You need to install ulb-gnome to get the panel side-bar, which resolves this... -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.2) GNOME updates for SuSE: http://www.usr-local-bin.org

Is there no other way to get a gnome menu? I don't really want to install the whole of ulb-gnome (I'm actually using gnome-panel within XFce4)... I'd been thinking I might move the side-bar on the menu into the gnome-panel package for the next release of ulb-gnome. -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.2) GNOME updates for SuSE: http://www.usr-local-bin.org
