Are you using exactly this combination?: SuSE 5.2 with the included OSS demo, and RealAudio 5.0 for Linux 2.0.___ using 'ELF'. If so, you may be the first to claim that RealAudio 5.0 works for this combo! (P.S. the ELF version is the only one available for RealAudio 5.0, as 'A.OUT' died with RealAudio 3.0)
The RealAudio 5.0 problem seems to occur with the free OSS demo which is packaged with SuSE 5.2.
With this OSS release I had no problems at all with RealAudio 3.0, but I sure did with RealAudio 5.0, as have seemingly all others. Any other OSS release may not cause this problem, and per one regular here the latest registered $20 OSS definately works just fine with RealAudio 5.0. Well actually no. The one that came with S.u.S.E. was a piece of junk. I downloaded the latest version and RealPlayer. It didn't work at first, but the other day for some reason it just started working. Beats me why. I didn't do anything special or change any configuration files.. Wierd huh??
