[opensuse] bug in nut-2.2.2-66.1.src.rpm and built rpms - no /etc/init.d/upsd
Stanislav, I was using the nut rpms from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/sbrabec:/backports/openSUSE_... and I noticed an apparent bug with the rpms and .src.rpm. When you install nut, your current /etc/init.d/upsd script is deleted and the new rpms do not provide a new one. I tried building from your .src.rpm with the same results. It looks like the spec file doesn't generate the required /etc/init.d/upsd script. If you could tell me how to include this, I could try editing the spec file for the copy I downloaded and test it. Thanks. -- David C. Correction - there is no bug. However, be aware if you are using 2.2.0 with usbhid-ups driver, a zypper up -t package -r newrepo will install nut-2.2.2 and ntu-hal-2.2.2 which conflicts with the new nut-classic-2.2.2 which is required for the nut-cgi-bin rpm. So make sure you choose the resolver that will install nut-classic and nut-cgi-bin. The upsd init script is in nut-classic. -- David C.
