Need/want automounting back...
Hey all,
For some reason when I load a cd or dvd or cf card into my usb card reader,
I'm not getting automounting anymore. I think it's because I changed my fstab
a little bit when I did something a few months ago.
Below is what my fstab looks like now:
/dev/hda2 / reiserfs defaults 1 1
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs
noauto,fs=floppyfss,procuid,nodev,nosuid,sync 0 0
/dev/hda1 swap swap pri=42 0 0
/dev/hda4 /home reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 2
/dev/hdb1 /movies reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 2
/dev/hdc /media/dvd subfs
noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev/hdd /media/dvdrecorder subfs
noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0
/dev/hda3 /boot reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 0
What should I change (if anything) to get it back to the stock SuSE 9.3
fstab where it'll automount and show a mounted icon on my desktop?
Thanks,
JB

Solved the problem. I forgot I'd turned off hal, so all I did was turn it
back on and I get the icons and automounting again.
