I see from your sig that I am not the only one having problems getting updates for antivir. I take it that most everyone else is having the same problem. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 * Only reply to the list please* "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners." -Ernst Jan Plugge

That is Grisoft AV Guard IIANM. I see from your sig that I am not the only one having problems getting updates for antivir. I take it that most everyone else is having the same problem. I have seen this as well. Seems they are getting overloaded, even though they have IIANM 6 download servers, i.e. failed to connect to dl6.avgate.net (Connection timed out) failed to download engine specification failed to connect to dl6.avgate.net (Connection timed out) failed to connect to dl5.avgate.net (Connection timed out) failed to connect to dl3.avgate.net (Connection timed out) succeeded to connect to http://dl6.avgate.net/

You are correct. I have had errors for about ten days now. Ran the update manually and was able to get an update for the engine and the virus database. If I didn't have a windows user connecting to my machine I probably wouldn't care. But it is nice to have all inbound email checked anyway. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 * Only reply to the list please* "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners." -Ernst Jan Plugge
