[opensuse] Sound on 11.1
I had an HD crash so I decided that I would install 11.1 x 64 on my system. I have not had problems with sound until now, not sure how to proceed. System is a Dell C521 w/Amd-64 cpu, 6g ram. Os is 11.1 with w/updates, KDE Version 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3) "release 4.10.4", Sound is listed as MCP51 High Defination Audio (I believe its an intel audio chip). Any ideas on where or what to do? Thanks, Mike. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Greg, Thanks for the info, tried things from the bug page but did not help so I just did a kernel update to 2.6.27.37-0.1 and sound is back. Thanks for the others who sent emails. I now have the 2.6.27.37-0.1 and my sound is gone speaker-test -c2 -l5 -twav -c7 gives me the sound from the speakers, but if I go to any youtube or other flash the sound in firefox is gone.
