Brana & Marcos, Regarding full-duplex, thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, neither ethtool nor mii-tool seem to be able to do anything with the r8169 nic: # ethtool eth0 Settings for eth0: No data available # mii-tool SIOCGMIIPHY on 'eth0' failed: Operation not supported no MII interfaces found I tried building/installing the v2.2 driver posted on the Realtek site, but wasn't able to connect to the network when I had installed that driver. There have been some posts about a module/kernle patch, but I'm not sure which is the current/correct version. -Dave Horita
