[opensuse] Testing mdadm: was [ 10.2 no RAID to 11.0 RAID 1]

I wish any of my machines had any problem right now so I coud show exact commands myself, but they don't. Including all those impossible mdraid boxes.
slightly OT, but: If you're running 11.0 you can create some errors. hdparm --make-bad-sector <nnnn> /dev/sdx Perform that against the lower level drive. You should likely corrupt a reasonable number of sectors to test with. Then try to read those sectors via the raid device. Some portion of the time, the drive with the bad sector should get selected to provide the data, then raid re-read logic should kick in to provide the data from the alternate source. I have not done any testing like the above, but I believe testing md is one of the main reasons that feature was added to hdparm 6 or 8 months ago.
