At the moment I am planning to go after all error messages which pop up after leaving KDE2. I am running a out of the box setup Suse 7.3 . Having set it up to go via console I get a nice set of error messages when I leave KDE. One of them is X error of failed request : BadWindow (invalid Window parameter. This message is followed by following text which I think points at its source: Major opcode of failed request: 7 (X-ReparentWindow) resource id in failed request: 0x1a0002 serial number of failed request: 9035 Current serial number in output stream: 9347 If the following also belongs to above. I am not sure: Kdeinit : Fatal IO error: client killed Can somebody point me into the direction of the source of the error and how could I start solving the problem?
