Download the iso using ftp instead of http and the file size should be larger.
Your joking right? Unless the ftp provides the real file...

No I am not. there have been several times that an http download fails whereas an ftp download succeeds. I have had the problem myself. It is not warranted that FTP works better than HTTP. There are mirrors with HTTP servers that can't deliver large files correctly, but also mirrors with FTP servers that can't do it. All mirrors that http://download.opensuse.org/ redirects to are *checked* for large file capability. That means, when you download via http://software.opensuse.org/ or (for instance) http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.1/iso/ you can expect the assigned mirror to be working in this regard. If you still have problems, you should search the issue on your end, and if you *really* suspect a problem, let me know about it. Moreover, to save oneself from download experiments one can use the bullet-proof way described here: http://lizards.opensuse.org/2008/12/16/best-way-to-download-opensuse/ Peter -- Contact: admin@opensuse.org (a.k.a. ftpadmin@suse.com) #opensuse-mirrors on freenode.net Info: http://en.opensuse.org/Mirror_Infrastructure SUSE LINUX Products GmbH Research & Development -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
