OpenGL works but dumb complaints from KDE
I have OpenGL working on my Ti4600, but when I run games like Armagetron and TuxRacer, KDE complains that I don't have a 3D graphics card available or 3D support is not configured. I know it is, Quake3 and UT run fine, and both Armagetron and TuxRacer run in OpenGL after the window pops up... is there somewhere in KDE that I haven't configured properly? Thanks, Sean
I have a Radeon 64 Meg DDR that exhibits the same problem. Forrest On Tue, 11 Jun 2002 03:06:34 -0400, a large badger frolicked about on your keyboard, and out came:

I've had the same issue with my Diamond Viper 770 Ultra. UT, Q3 and the other 5 3D games I have run fine but Tuxracer complains about not finding GL. I think it's an issue with the two games because all of the other GL stuff works including the KDE screensavers. I would check out the Tuxracer site to see what can be done..because I would assume OpenGL works. -=Ben --=====-----=====-- mailto:ben@whack.org --=====-- If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say that the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little. -GC --=====-----=====--
